We were really revelling the whole of last week because it was the school holidays.
I’m only 75% through Conversation with Friends. Ergo 2 unnecessary online shops. Haha. Just waiting for the parcels now. Harry Potter jammies for Felix, Alexis and I, Skechers sandals for my hooves (Being a UK 2.5 sucks, womens shoes start at UK 3 usually.)
Had a dip in the inflatable pool and watched Little Mermaid on the iPad from the pool with Alexis (Love having a daughter that I can pass on Disney princess dreams to. If I could just pass on the Harry Potter obsession to either kids, the birthing process would have all been worth it. Haha). Sadly, I didn’t realize I packed up the inflatable pool before it was fully dry so there’s now mould on it. Tried our best to get rid of the mould when we took the pool out and when we emptied it last night, but I’m gonna try again today. The stains are freaking stubborn so I have to use Chlorox bleach spray. It’s a good thing I love the kids cause I would NEVER do this much work otherwise.
Had Malaysia Day lunch at the neighbours, Ombak Kitchen shell out is sooooo good! The neighbour’s kids cousins came over as well, so 6 kids had a splash party in the inflatable pool.
God bless crabs.
Kids stayed over at their grandparents for 3 nights so Jason and I were able to pretend to be young and carefree sans responsibility.
Binged The Circle (Kai and Ruksana are boring) and Sex Education Season 3 (Poor Adam. Gillian Anderson is still so so so beautiful.)
Vaccination status finally went from Partial to Full on Thursday and in true itchy backside fashion, Jason and I headed down to Pavilion which we hadn’t been to since this whole Covid nightmare. Treated ourselves to expensive haircuts. The kind where the stylists look at you and say, trust us. Fortunately, we weren’t betrayed. Haha.
Thanks to Food for Thought, we enjoyed a food review at The Chow Kit – An Ormond Hotel as well. It was private in-room dining, so we were nice and at ease. Still a little paranoid about dining out but not as paranoid as the Chinese auntie we encountered at good ol’ Rajus (I needed my roti canai fix). Apart from giving it to an old Indian uncle who wasn’t social distancing in the queue (he deserved it), the Chinese auntie carried a battery operated spray thingy that would mist her at intervals. She seriously looked like she was clenching her butt cheeks the whole time she was speed eating to get out of there. Didn’t even chit chat with her daughter or anything. If you’re gonna be so uptight, you should just tapau lah.
Neighbours also went camping for 2 nights, so I took the chance to play piano for hours. HOURS. Jason finished the Infernal Affairs TRILOGY, and I played throughout all of that and then some hahaha. So satisfying.
Convinced Jason to go for his first facial at Aster Spring as well. His therapist said his blackheads were under control. Hardly any it seems. My therapist said mine are so deep in there, she had to give up the good fight. Haha.
All in all, a great prison break.
